yep but you bought em right and bought em once didnt you?
i'd rather pay a couple of hundred more for brand new than dick about with an unknown entity that probably needs work

bargains are only bargains if the product is fit for purpose, ive seen many many "working perfectly" idfs bought at a bargain, or not so bargain price, with rusted in seized mixture screws, bent throttle shafts, seized and rotted in main jets, rung jets, cracked bodies linkeage arms busted, pump diaphragm rods snapped, thats before you get to the fact that the chokes are not the size you need or the mains airs and idle jets.
one persons version of perfect is another persons version of a bucket of shit!
hell i think i'll buy em, theyre cheap.

Yeah you're right, Ben. Thats why I went by your advice and bought them and I don't regret paying for them at all. I still have 2 shite 40 IDFs myself that are of no use to me whatsoever in my shed too. I must try and flog them on ebay actually.

Very good point(s). ;)

Is it just carbs? No filters, linkage or fanimolds?

Deckie, I have 40's on my 1600, they work really well on it... but the jetting was (obviously) adjusted to suit, which can get expensive.
