[Wanted: Parts] Trolley jack / Axle stands.

Where could I get a good trolley jack that i could put under the centre of my Beetle to jack it up fairly high off the ground so I could work under it? And axle stands?

I have a trolley jack but it's only a small one and cant jack up the car high enough.

I'm loath to send anyone there but Halfords have a good 2,25 ton "high lift" trolley jack for sale. I have one and I find it useful. It twisted once but they swapped it like-for-like without any problem. It's part of the Prefessional range so has a lifetime warranty. They also do axle stands, the "ratchet" type. I have a set and have no complaints

mine only twisted after using it to lift the arse of the van and trolleying it around. Abuse in anyone's book!!

they're the fold-up ones, I have those too. Not bad but nothing compared to the ratchet type ones

just go in and ask they will give it to you there and then ,i have gotten them many times in naas ,i keep loosing ,breaking them or giving them away.

They also have a trolley jack for €20, its not high lift by any means but a slight mod to the head raising it gives enough lift for engine removal in one go on a bay.

Halfords high lift jack has given me no problems lifting the back of my bus! .. like the heavier axel stands too.. the ones in lidl seemes a little bit light for lying under comfortably.. but would probably be fine for a car! Its amazing how heavy that camper looks when you are lying under it!!!

Check halfords for the jack... I got one in Letterkenny for 50 euro.. reduced from 120!!!.. cant be bad at that...

I went down to Halfords yesterday brought eircooled card and membership welcome letter with me
Also brought the Ghia, told store manager I do up classics on the side (because I don't have any papers they do ask for them, hence the car) And was told I could have the card just had to pick it up in Kilkenny.did that today so cheers darragh
