Tramore Surf & Sea Festival - VW Display, 21st Sep

Hi folks,
We've been invited again to the Tramore Surf and Sea festival in Co. Waterford on Sunday 21st Sep.
This is a great event which we have been to over the past 7 years as a club but this year they want to promote our display even more.
The plan is to be in place by 11 that morning along the prom. Space will be set aside for us in advance.
I'll be throwing this up on Donedeal next week so we should have a much better display than last year.
Events run until about 5.

I'm just off the phone to Linda, one of the organisers, who has invited us down the night before to camp on the prom. Normally the public aren't allowed to stay here.
She is trying to keep toilets open as late as possible Sat night and then open again early on Sunday.

Views on Donedeal are over 2K so I'd be expecting a good turnout from that.

I would if it weren't for the fact that I'm actually skint at the moment. If that miraculously changes I will head down. I want to try and support the club cause I feel our events are dying a death for some reason.

Looks like a really cool event that's perfectly suited to VWs. I'd love to go but I'm working

Will there be many VW's at this, was going to go down for a look but not many replies on here?

I drove from Tramore in to Waterford about half an hour ago and passed one purple and two orange vans heading out the way. So there'll be three vans out there at least.

Just back from Tramore, some lovely campers a Beetle and beach buggy down there, have a bad itch for a Westfalia bay window camper!

Absolute cracker of a day. About 20 VW's turned up. The reception was fantastic and the weather couldn't have been better. I almost forgot to take pics.
Here are some of what I took, with the first "borrowed" from the Tramore tourism page. We were given space on both sides of the lower prom. The public absolutely loved our display and it was a refreshing change from a show field.
