if you're of a delicate disposition, look away now, it's not aircooled, it's not old, it's not even German!!

in addition to the T3, I'm also breaking Caroline's 00 micra. It's a 1 litre 16V, 5 speed. Was in daily use until last thursday when it recieved a side-on smack into a low wall. Rear axle took most of the damage. Engine has 105k miles on it and was serviced at 99k miles. Never used a drop of oil, was driven 40 miles a day for the last four years by Caroline with ZERO mechanical faults bar a worn rear wheel bearing. Owned by her mother for three years before that, again with no mechanical issues.

Compared to old aircooled VWs, these Micras are annoyingly reliable little fuckers, if a bit slow and boring.

it's a long shot but if anyone is looking for any parts including a very good reliable engine with known history for the last 7 years then get in touch.

the back axle is bent to shit Mark, if you want to come have a look if the hubs are salvageable then please do. I wouldn't hold out much hope. The rear left took most of the impact. One of the rear wheel bearings was rumbling anyway so she saved me a job by crashing it ;)

she was on her own in the a car, 2 miles from home. Spun on wet corner into low bank/wall narrowly missing another car. Could have been very nasty but thankfully she and number two are fine. Portlaoise General checked her and baby out, they were very careful and kept her in overnight to make sure. Just a bit shaken up by the whole thing.

thanks for your concern :)

re engine: not unless you want to get into a hooooge project. Not worth the effort in my opinion...
