Leafing through the Irish Vintage Scene magazine there today I spotted the Classic car/tractor show is on in Tipperary Racecourse, Limerick Junction on April 4th (Easter Sunday) this year, only a few weeks away.

This was RAMMED last year, I'm kinda glad I arrived late and had to park out in the visitor carpark, it meant I could make an early getaway!!

Anyway, I borrowed the map from last year's thread:

oh, Padraig and Zeemax take note:

For 2010 Porsche has been chosen as the theme and we especially welcome all owners of classic Porsche cars and tractors to the show where we would like to place you together in a prime position on the site with your location clearly marked by flags and banners.

It was very jam packed, i.e. cars on top of each other. But a good show there....I'd say get down early for a parking space as Trev said, if you arrive late you prob end up parking in a different area that the rest of the Vdubs....A few pics....

Myself and "69 bug were chatting earlier and we wondered how many people are intending to head to this? (It's Sunday week) Gonna start a list and if people are interested we could meet up beforehand and guarantee that we get a spot together. I don't think we'll be able to reserve a spot but if anyone knows the organisers maybe they could have a word? Could we organise to have the banner too?
Anyway, add your name and we can make arrangements later.

I'll have no car because Burty will be in Ben Byrne's place :(
If this years show is anything like last year I'd recommend getting there really early because it was rammed within an hour of opening and nobody could get in or out.

There was a place reserved for VW's last year, Martin Murray is involved with this show in some way,
it might be worth giving him a call.

I think they're looking for cars to be in around half 11 so how about meeting at the petrol station in Monard, (where Eirespares show is held) which is 2 mins up the road on the Limerick side around that time?

I rang one of the organisers a few days ago and he mentioned he wanted people in place between 10 - 11am - fancy meeting a bit earlier?

Anybody going from Galway / Ennis direction? Particulary people with a grĂ¡ for AC/DC and driving a heavily accessoried beetle?

I can meet you Padraig as you pass through Limerick, maybe just on the Tipperary road after the bridge over the bypass? No matter which way you come from you'll be passing that point anyway. If you passed there around 10 you'd be at the Racecourse for 10.30.

Sounds like a plan, 10am would mean I wouldn't have to get up too early either..!
