Ok Guys im sure most of you are aware of this car and its cool history on the salt flats and being the first carburetted air cooled vw in the 130mph club driven by Britt Grannis . Any how I bought it minus the engine a few years ago and had it shipped over from Britt last year. It has a totally perfect rust free bodyshell , I mean this thing is rock solid and the body needs no welding at all . the doors are perfect and like a new car underneath . it does however need 2 floor pans to make a totally mint car but the heater channels etc are excellent . being a race car Its also had a rear big disc brake conversion with drilled discs etc . I intended to restore this back to a road car with all the chrome and trim and a colour change but because of its racing pedigree and being in Hot VWs mag etc I decided to just get another Ghia and sell this on. It owes me £3500 so that's all I need back out of it and I think it was good value considering the body is fantastic . Any questions just give me a shout

Ok well today was the first chance i had to get the Ghia dug out of the garage so i could take some proper pics of it .

In my first post i think i was over critical of the pans as they would repair easy enough . the passanger side one seems fine too.

The body is so good on this car and its nice that you can see inside the doors and quarters and see they are all original and unwelded and fantastic .

I also dug out a tan leather Alfa interior that would be easy to make fit so that can go with it too. Also robbed the bumpers from my other ghia so they can come with it too.

I will let the pictures do the talking . But i know you wont find as solid a ghia for the money .

I also tried on a couple of Gas burners to see how they looked but they are not forsale .
