Some of y’all may remember this van and it is with regret that I’m doing this however… up for sale I offer,

VW T3 (T25) 1.6TD
Very clean and tidy RHD van currently used as my daily driver and surf van. Had a full body & engine refurb recently and was given a full service 750 miles ago. Very easy diesel van to drive as a daily, with good power and excellent MPG. It comes complete with 2 sets of alloy wheels a Mercedes set and a new (to me) set of Porsche alloys complete with spacers. Also has a Eber D2 night heater fitted, hooked up direct to the fuel tank no faffing about wi a separate fuel tank. Keeps you as warm as you want all night long no matter what the temp outside. To keep weight down for everyday use and also to keep it van like - I made a removable unit for it with 2 burners grill and sink and plenty of storage for food and cooking stuff. This is an easily removed/installed self-contained unit. Compact fridge (also removable) that runs off the leisure battery can also be used to keep things warm. Seat folds down into a very big bed and is very comfy to sleep in. Plenty of storage under the seat too! Lined curtains on every window do a great job of keeping the light out.

Structurally the van is very solid with a rebuild only a few years ago seams and front steps are in great nic. Paintwork is in good condition too with just some marks from stone chips and some scuffs on the bumpers. Underneath is also very solid & as good as any van you’ll find. Engine runs very sweet and I would not be afraid to take this anywhere. It has never let me down and provided it is serviced regularly I see no reason why it ever would. Not sure on the exact mileage the VDO that is in there is not the original one. However mileage on Vehicles never bothered me I service it every 3000 odd miles and as long as you service an engine regularly it doesn’t worry about mileage either. Very good looking van gets great comments everywhere I go. Loadsa stuff with the van take a goose below:

Electric windows
Remote central locking with alarm
Sony Explod head unit
VDO 2.2 console with rev counter
Sunroof
4 Mercedes alloy wheels (winter boots)
4 Porsche boxster alloy wheels with spacers (summer shoes)
Square Headlights
Eberspacher D2 night heater
LED lighting in rear
Full width Rock n Roll bed (bigger than a double bed)
Removable unit with 2 burners, grill, sink and loadsa storage space
Removable fridge
Leisure battery installed with split charge system (works extremely well)
Panasonic Tough Book fitted on the inside roof – used for TV, Films, internet, music etc…
Ladder bar roof rack very low profile
Lined curtains throughout
Lowered 50mm

Very clean and tidy van locked and loaded for this summer and winter!

man i still love that van!! the mileage on the clock is wrong, i can't remember the correct mileage anymore but the engine is sweet as a nut. There is a GTD head on it too which helps her go.

I like what you have done to it, i never liked the old merc wheels the new ones are nice!! Best of luck with the sale. This van was VRT'd so it should go back on irish plates without any cost.

BTW I have build photos here if for some reason the new owner wants them.

Cheers George aye i'll miss it too however it feels like I'm collecting vans at the moment! Vans runs beautifully still, I sold my daily driver not long after buying this and never once regretted it! I still have the old clock so If that milage is correct, then I know what I've added to it.

Congrats on the sale...where did it go to?

Went back over the border again to kildare. New owner not a forum member yet, I have passed him on the website details tho. He's very pleased with the van and every reason to be so, he's got a great van that aint gonna let him down. That engine ran sooo sweet!!! Oh well, I gotta 91 caravelle to work on now so, onwards and upwards. Still got the porsche alloys too if anybody wants them... I'll put up a seperate thread for them tho at some stage.

Tis a t25 also. A 1.9 petrol twin slider. I'll throw up some snaps of it soon too. Very clean and straight. Also very original inside.
