Just fix the one you have. I know I keep harping on about this but the same people who strip and rebuild carbs and all that never seem to want to touch the insides of a starting motor, and theyre extremely simple, and are nearly always easily repaired. Just strip and clean the one you have, sand the commutator, replace the brushes, grease the bearings and put it back together and I'm sure it'll be fine. Ive done 4 starting motors to date (not all mine) and theyve always worked perfectly afterwards.
