We had a real nice time today
We met up at the quays in Westport at 11am
Damien from Strokestown and Jack from Westport were already waiting for us.....Marie came along too but without her beetle!!!
Kvinyl made it over to see us all too but hadn't time to go on the drive with us
We all went into the Atlantic Coast Hotel for hot choc and coffee to warm us up before the drive...
We headed off for Pontoon where we then stopped for lunch at Healy's - had a beautiful meal there in the cosy snug 8)
From here, we stopped in Knockmore for a little Geography and history lesson from Magpie and then off we carried on to Enniscrone - some folk took a stroll along the cliff wall, others braved it onto the beach and littel Tiernan took a liking to the dand-dunes
Jack and Damien headed off home from here while the rest of us took the scenic route back to our place via Lough Easkey - breathtaking views from the water's edge and steep winding lanes with only the sheep and the views for company 8) 8) 8) 8)
It was a great afternoon and we will all be together again for the workshop on the 13th October - and many more too
Pics shortly
