Cars & Coffee Galway - Sunday, March 14th
Sunday, 14th March - 12 o'clock.

Parking outside Coma Coffee.

Located 2 mins from the new Dublin - Galway motorway.

Thanks to hard work by Mark (foyler), Steve (SteveIRL) and the generosity of Tom Heavey, editor of Irish Vintage Scene we have joined forces to try and grow the Cars and Coffee events for the benefit of all involved. We hope that this will bring new faces to the forums and provide an even wider range of interesting cars of all ages for everybody to chat about.

Mark tells us "its not restricted to classics or high-end cars; all are welcome and one of the nicest things is that you get a real cross-section of old and new, cheap runabouts and the more expensive rare stuff."

He goes on to tell us that there are currently two groups participating, one in Galway who meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month in the Briarhill Business Park just outside the city, and the other in Dublin who meet on the first Sunday of the month in Carrickmines Retail park, meeting from 10:30am and they usually last about two hours.

Steve, who organises this, tells us that they had fifty cars at the last get-together, where you could have anything from a Fiesta to a Lamborghini in attendance. Information on either group is available on www.octane.ie in the forum section under Backroads section. Every type of car is welcome, so it doesn't matter what you have, turn up for a coffee and a chat. I hope to catch up with the lads in Galway sometime soon."
Coffee is avaliable from the nearby Wild Nettle Cafe. For bigger appetites there is the Clayton Hotel.

Google Maps Location

Directions as follows:

From Dublin: Follow M6 to end, take right exit on roundabout for Galway West. At the next roundabout, follow signs for Monivea/Airport and then immediately take left turn for Parkmore Industrial Estate. Take first left when facing Cunningham Higgins showroom.

Limerick: Bypass Oranmore on dual carriageway, then follow signs for Galway City West. Rest is as above.

From north/Sligo: Pass through Claregalway, continue ca. 3 miles. Passing Corinthians Rugby pitch on your right, take next left turn which is steeply uphill. Go through roundabout, take last turn right before traffic lights.

Setting your SatNav to the 'Galway Racecourse' Point of Interest should bring you onto the right road.
