Funny you should mention it - i have the remains of a g5 that was unintentionally water cooled. AC unit over it leaked onto it, made a nice popping sound! Apple never made them watercooled - unless aftermarket converted... G5's have upwards of about 13-15 different fans. They can create some serious heat. John, your g4 is worth about 60-100 euro, but well worth upgrading. Internal scsi hd drive (i think) or external firewire or usb.
