A friend of mine is selling his '79 BMW 316. He brought it in from the UK a year ago and has found that he's not using it that much... probably because he has two other cars and two motorbikes!
It's in amazing condition as you'll see from the pics below. It's one of the coolest, retro colour schemes I've seen with a near perfect interior.... even the rechargeable torch in the glove box still works!
The engine is running beautifully and has recently been serviced. He's also had the wheels blasted and painted and it sports new tyres at each corner.
The underneath has had some underbody seal applied but I can testify that it's not covering up a thing.... I saw it with my own eyes before it was done.
He's looking for €5,500 which I think is a great deal for such a cracking car.
I'd say that if you're looking for a car to introduce the wife or girlfriend to the vintage scene then this could be the car, as the colour and interior would suit both male and female tastes and reliability isn't going to be an issue.
