I have decided to sell my wonderful VW T2 camper. His name is Mister, he’s a 1.6 aircooled 1970 Westfalia early bay. It was imported from California 3 years ago and has spent the winters in a warehouse, so there is no real rust, the body is in fantastic shape. Every mechanical part has been reconditioned or replaced since I’ve had it, including:
Cylinder heads, pistons, barrels, exhaust, twin weber carbs, Gearbox – still under warrantee, Spax adjustable gas shocks, electronic ignition, Wheel bearings, steering damper, wheels, tires, brake shoes, brake lines, master cylinder, 4x wheel cylinders, clutch, CV joints, coil, distributer, leads, plugs, steering draglink, tie rods, etc etc.
Full westy interior, professionally lowered, BRM alloys, Pop-top, leisure battery, CD/MP3 player, lots of spares included like a perfect carb, new standard exhaust, distributer, coil and so on.
This van is ready to use and enjoy, amazing fun to drive and never lets me down.
Bad points: The paint is not great; it’s a bit thin and dull and there are a few chips. Cosmetically it is not a show winner, the seats are worn and there are the usually blemishes, i.e. sun cracked dash, the pop canvas needs to be refit and there is a small, repairable hole in it.
