Leinster Motor Club 90th Anniversary Run and Festival of Speed, this Sunday!

This Sunday in Bray Co.Wicklow The LMC celebrate their 90th anniversary with a festival of motorsport.

There will be Offroad motorbike racing, Car trials, and a Vintage Rally and show!

It would be a great day out for families etc if the weather is good, as it held in the grounds of Belmont Dememse. Admission is free but donation wil go to Wicklow Hospice.


The rally should be of interest to Eircooled members, its a regularity run, in your car, pus a show afterwards.

The run is well worth doing if you like driving your car and add's the competitive element to your day out!

Valerie and myself are entered in the Vintage run.Done this last year and really enjoyed it.
We were the in pre 80's class.

With the "pre war" class and "period dress", how are the views on modified classics at this? Easy going, or stuffy purists?

Easy going, theres guys with race a rally prepped cars, I did it in the Oval 2 years ago!

They'll be happy with entries, its a great day out and interesting once you get your head around the scoring system!!!

The event based between Bray and Greystones on the coast road, you turn off for it at the top of the hill!!! Left coming from Greystones and right coming from Bray!!!

I think it'd be right up your street, you need a driver and a co-driver, the navigation, treasure hunt and the rest is just a nice cruise around wicklow (but if you do get lost and your behind time you can end up flat out trying to get home without being penalised!!!

I wont be in the rally, I'll be busy organising demo of Pitbike racing...........

And marshalling at the enduro sprint

(I should really be racing)

But theres also trials!

Or even Car Trials!!! And some of these are VW beetle and bus based!! (Well engine and boxes!)
