anyone got any idea where I'd get a UK/Ireland keyboard for a Dell Inspiron 1501? Mine has loose/wobbly keys, missing keys etc. Some of the little hinges in the vowel keys have come loose and I've swapped the hinges from the obscure keys like that stupid one to the left of the #1 key and the backslash key.

It's 7 years old so has probably reached the end of its lifespan but a replacement keyboard would allow me to comfortably keep it going until it dies altogether.

Any ideas? Ebay seems to be full of US keyboards but the key layout is slightly different.

you mean like a desktop keyboard? I suppose there's no reason why one couldn't be plugged in, the laptop is deskbound anyway as the battery doesn't charge any more, it's on mains power only. It'd be tidier to get the proper keyboard for it though and replace it.

anyway, just bought from Amazon. Cheers justin :)

I was using a lappy as a desktop for a while, I found it much easier to work with.
