Im hopefully buying a 1303 next week to break, I want the IRS box out of it for my Baja project and perhaps the engine. The metal work is really bad and it was crashed both front and rear before being parked in a field for years. Im going to break it, anyone looking for anything in particular?

if they're not bent from the crash I'd like the front track control arms (presuming it has the late "2 bolt" struts and not the early "3 bolt" ones :)

What size engine is in it? Might be interested. The 1200cc I have at the moment can smell a hill.

@Justin, have to say I have a tendency to cut up 70's beetles! When I broke a 76 Bay Pickup in uni, I gave a guy a hand to cut up a bug to make a trike! One badass Skil saw and 10mins of mayhem! Twas a good day! - as for this, you know my feelings on 02/03's, Trev has the right idea, WRX'd Oval!

@ Trev, its a 73 asfar as I can make out from chassis number, that tell you anything, front end damage was only cosmetic!

@EoinO, its a 1300 so I may be holding onto it!!! I'll see!

@Dustpuppy, Its pretty rotten, Wings and decklid at shot! I'll be taking the trailing arms etc with the gearbox!

should have what I want so. :)
I'm not sure but one of mine looks like it might be twisted. If I had a second set I could see for sure. Let me know how things pan out...

Okay, I finally got the 1303, and also a 1973 1300, and another chassis with box, I'm breaking them all and keeping the IRS box from the 03 and at least one engine and perhaps one 1300 box. The cars are totally rotten but the pan on the 1300 isnt too bad, and if I can source the OG book would be good for a kit car/buggy! Both have Shamrock glass! Drivers door on the 1303 seems to be 98% mint!

Trev, you might be in luck, they are 2bolt type struts, (on right of pic)

nice one Tsar, I need these arms:

but if you're binning the struts I'd be interested in those and if the framehead is in reasonably rust free condition I'd have that too ;)

Well the floors rotten but the front end damage only happened when it was parked so those bits should be fine, car is very rotten but framehead might be okay, as soon as it stops raining I'll fire up the grinder!!!

Cant wait!
