Marty from highnelly.ie has asked me to put this up. He is organising a Nigh Nelly/vintage weekend in Powers Pub, Abington, Murroe, Co. Limerick the weekend of 9th & 10th August in aid of Pieta house.
There will be a vintage car display, games and music with a live band each day. As this is my local pub too I should be playing a few tunes in the evening.
It is running both Saturday and Sunday but I would really love to make it predominately VW on the Sunday. The Eireball run is finishing that day so there will be an invite for all to extend it one night further as there is camping behind the pub.

I am well aware that this clashes with Fermoy but as it goes on all night it would be great for some to do both (even come for a few hours on your way home). This is in aid of a great cause so I really hope that many will make the effort to attend. Please PM me if you have any questions.

How to get there: Take exit 29 off the M7 motorway and follow signs for Tipperary. Drive for approx 10 mins until you come to "Boher". Take the only left in this village and follow road for 5 mins until you see the pub.

Bump for Sunday.
I passed this on my way into work this morning and it looks great. Would love to see a few head over after Fermoy. It's a camping event also for those who want to stay Sunday night.

Myself and Bugeye stopped in on our way home from Fermoy yesterday. Despite the poor weather they had over the weekend they didn't let that stop them having a blast. I'd love to see some of Eircooled's finest having a go on their obstacle course.......especially after a bevvy or two :D

Torrential rain did its best to ruin the weekend and while the numbers were low, everyone there had a blast. I couldn't believe the amount of tents around. Plenty of very brave (or stupid/drunk etc :drinkbeer:) camped considering the amount of rain that fell.
Thanks to Bugeye and Coxy for dropping by on their way home.
