I bought a polisher in Halfords a few days ago. I don't think I need it now as I polished my cars today by hand and they came up pretty good. I gave €40 for it. If anybody is interested in this I will sell it off for €40 ONO. I just took it out of the box, I never used it.

Would it matter that the inside bag and little wire tie for holding the flex has been taken off? and I can't find the receipt either.

PJ, If you have the receipt and its in the original box I'm sure you can just return it and get your money back.
Don't even mention that you opened it, Just say you bought it in error.

If you cant find the receipt just go in to return it and dont mention anything unless they ask.
Don't worry about the bag or tie either, more than lightly they wont even look

just as an aside: I bought an item in halfords a few months back and availed of the 15% axa discount. Turned out I didn't need it so returned it only to be refunded the full price...

I paid €39.99 for this on Friday, The lad gave me €40 today, so I turns out I made 1 cent profit.
