Well the gearbox in the jag has bitten the dust, so i am on the look-out for either a replacement 3.0L Auto-box or someone to rebuild the existing one, the pump failed
and starved the box of oil, so no oil pressure or so i have been told, i can't find anyone in cork willing to take it on, my mechanic is waiting on a ex jag engineer to come back to him about it, there are a few in the breakers down here so will give them a bell tomorrow, so if you know someone who could help me out that would be great.
Cheers

Keith PM me your number, I'll ring round a few of the lads I know. One has a scrap yard don't know if he'll have one,
or be it working. But he's a sound bloke, so he wouldn't send you wrong if he has.

Rebuild
www.corkgearbox.com/
Are they a sealed for life ZF box? - may not be able to do a rebuild.

5-speed J-Gate Ford 5R55N transmission the ZF came out in 2003, indeed the 5R55N was promoted as being sealed for life which i find incredible really but you could change the oil which i did every 2 yrs, these gearboxes have been known to die after only a few thousand miles on them. I spoke with the guy in corkgearbox and he quoted 2 Grand, i have made a few enquiries about them and i'll say no more just in case. Really i want to try and get it done down south as the cost of shipping would be pretty high i would imagine, i know i can get fully rebuilt ones in the Uk, there are a few in the scrappies in cork so calling over to see them tomorrow.
Cheers
