Congrats on the sale Mac...was also thinking about picking this up when it came up originally!

Had to tell the wife it cost me even less than that. Still alive this morning anyway while she heads off to work to pay for it!

:ROFLMAO:...my wife's just back from a 3 month work secondment out in Bahrain and doesn't even know that there is a splitscreen sitting in a container in Dublin Port with my name on it. I love surprising her! :innocent:

I had 12 phone calls yesterday and twice as many today looking for her - recession wha ?

same here with the superlights advertisement. Nothing for the first 24 hours, then the chap that bought them called and after the sale was agreed I had another 4 or 5 fellas calling in the space of an hour. Typical...

Loads of room...you could squeeze another 2 bugs in there! (y)

So whats the plans for her?

Try telling my wife that! She's ready to lynch me as it is.

The Plan:
Definately a Cal looker.
Keep all the chrome though, including window chrome.
Nice pair of pop out windows at the rear sides.
Retrim interior in light cream (& maybe a blue)
Drop the front.
Black 5 spoke BRM's.
Single blade bumpers & over-riders.
Paint - Thinking Horizon Blue (a 56/57 colour)
American style all red rear lights.
Change the front indicators to narrow earlier type with clear lenses and drop them down towards the headlights or else leave them out and go for the american style headlight with the indicator bulb included.
American style rear license plate.
Gene Berg shifter (already aquired - Thanks to James)
Engine - Stock 1300 for the moment.

Plans are great aren't they?

Firstly there's the matter of cutting out all the rot and welding in a shit load of new panels.

I'll start a new thread once I get started but it will be a slow one. Hopefully the thread comments will spur me on!

Glad you made it home okay Kieran and best of luck with the project ,I definetly like the look your going for and looking forward to the build all ready .You've plenty of room in that shed too !

Great fun getting it off the trailer. She was parked on the trailer at an angle and when I let out the clutch, I didn't expect her to lunge forward so much so soon so she jumped forward and missed one of the ramps completely and landed on her belly with the front right wheel in mid air. I'm sure the neighbours had a good laugh. Had to get the trolley jack out & jack up the front and reposition the ramp. All ok in the end though. Thanks again for everything, especially the present!

Was there an inner arch panel you bought too? I thought there was one. Also, was there just the one rear quarter repair panel for behind the door? No worries if not.
