Brand new......... zero mile........ british built. my plans were for my 56 rhd rag, a 2276 turbo. Im changing course with this project as im building house so having to sell lots of stuff to finance it.
went to bother of getting this built 2276 from the states, but then to make 100% sure it was good, i sent it on to daz at aircooled performance to strip it, and check and build it right back up again. he also balanced everything, it was initially built for idas, but change of cam and rockers and compression to suit turbo application better. He has full spec detailed. (it will actually still suit nice set of carbs too)
this engine was built to be as reliable as possible, and is presently with Daz. an engine of this type would cost around 2kmore for long block and you would have to wait 6 months to get it built. this is sitting ready on a pallet as we speak. only thing missing to make it full complete long block is rockers which daz reccommended at 1.4, i just never got around to getting them. Im gutted at letting this go, i scrimped and saved for years to buy it and get daz to do his stuff, so you can imagine what im gonna feel like when i stick a 1600 in it.
some specs.
The heads are 043 VW castings with 40x35 stainless valves with nice hand porting work port and polish- steve timms porting job.dual springs
82mm CB crank
94mm stroker Mahle B+P's
Bugpack Ali case
CB conrods
Mahle bearings
Cromoly 13lb flywheel
Cromoly gland nut
Engle FK8 camshaft to suit planned 1.4 ratio rockers
CB camgear
OE pushrod tubes
Bugpack hardware kit
Compression set at 8.1:1cr, built to suit turbo set up but would also make a mild reliable N/A bus or bug application with a pair of 44 webers fitted
evrything all balanced
this engine was apparently good for 250bhp with good turbo kit.
so this is sitting built already. good price, no waiting... great builder.
price £2800 sterlingono .consider part exchanges (parts/ projects/cash)
