Hey folks
is it worth it to change log book with new block number for new engine ?
if have done how long to take from time send to time get back

There's VERY few aircooled VW's driving around with the same engine as the log book says.
I don't know anyone who has declared it.

Not sure of the legality, especially if it's the same cc as standard

you should be able to do it over the counter at the local tax office. But... they may need some kind of garage stamp to verify it. There's been scams the last few years where fellas with big-CC engines were getting the engine numbers changed on the log book for that of a much smaller CC engine to dodge the high tax rate on big motors. Since they copped on they were losing revenue, they've made it more difficult to change the engine details.
