I've put together an order on CIP1, I must price it up on VWH and see what the difference is.

shopping list on CIP1 comes to €194 + 30% (ish) duty/VAT brings it to €252

exact same shopping list on Machine7 comes to €279 all-in

exact same shopping list on www.coolairvw.co.uk comes to €360 all-in

if I get away with the duty/VAT it makes it way cheaper but you can't bank on it so it's best to budget for it.

it goes to show though, the CIP order included $100 shipping, veedubbers stateside are spoiled when it comes to buying parts, CIP do free shipping within the states...

JustKampers are opening JustBeetles soon and Jon White in Castledermot will be stocking their inventory. We might have another source for beetle parts soon.

oh, all prices are converted to € via www.xe.com/ucc for comparison :)

same shopping list on GSF's website comes to £146, which sounds promising. XE.com converts it to €183 but when you call GSF for a € price they seem to use their own conversion factor which brings up the price. Still though, if they're in the right vicinity they might be worth the punt. The GSF price doesn't include delivery though.

You will get caught for VAT/duty with CIP1, they ship Fedex.

aircooled.net will ship USPS ;)

John White has always given me the best deal with shipping and delivery times but you can't beat the range CIP1 carry.

What he said.

I find GSFs range is very limited unless you've got a late model and theres a knowledge vacuum when it comes to aircooled stuff. CoolAir were a bit pricey last time I ordered but made up for it with advice/knowledge. My deep frozen credit card loves Machine7

halfords do 15% discount with the AXA plus card or if you've lost your card, you can argue and educate the staff a bit, just your AXA policy number.
The only thing I've found them useful for was when I bought my trolley jack, I got free axle stands and the 15% discount. I haven't (and can't see myself) bought any parts or accessories from them...

Halford's Pro tools are great quality and value, there was a form to write your (or somebody elses ;) )policy number on for the 15% discount.

Batteries have a good warranty, oil and consumables are handy too.

Your trade card has been downgraded, the new ones are strictly trade only and still have up to 30%.

We're still getting fleeced on the £/€ conversion too, check out Halford's prices online.
