[Wanted: Parts] beetle engine lid 1950s

Just bought a 1970 beetle and joined the eircooled site.
I am looking for an early type engine lid metal or even fiberglass would be great.
If you have one for sale or if you know someone who has it please let me know

I think I saw photos of that a couple of years ago, it was up North, right? If I remember correctly, haven't the headlamp buckets been built out to avoid contact with the front tyres at full drop?

You are right she was at the Dubshed up north a few years ago, the front fiberglass wings have been cut for clearance in order not to touch the wheels once full dropped.
Unfortunately without protection from dirt and water. ..the headlights needs to be replace now and I need to sort out the protection/clearance problem
