Just seen one like that in a scrapyard near me, UK plates so its probably rotten, still tempted to go and have a proper look though.
Myself and p0x once went investigating a splitty out your direction a few years back We had heard about it from a few sources so felt it was worth chasing up. We discovered that it was dropped into a hole and covered over long before we got there.
Go, have a look. If it's shite, it's shite, but at least you'll know.
