I have an '84 High top 1.6D abandoned project....

Its an original Irish vehicle, converted from a panel van and registered as a camper.

It had lots of mechanical work done before I got it, front end all re-bushed, recon gearbox fitted. Was on the button when last started 2 years ago.

Its been stripped out completely, all cupboards etc have been sanded and varnished and need very little doing...
Bodywise, I started work on it but circumstances prevented me finishing it, so it has lots of bits cut out and a few bits already welded in and new panels included for the rest.

It will be a big enough project to get her on the road again, but it can be done.

Any interest out there either complete or I'll break her if there's interest enough in parts.

(pictures of her as I got her are in my garage profile, I'll take some of the current state if there's any interest)

Haven't had time to reply before, sorry, the work I had done can be seen at http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=101348

I really need to clear space so if there's anyone interested in having a look, do so soon and make an offer :)
Otherwise I'll have to strip them, keep what's good and weigh in the rest.
It would be a shame to do this as the pick-up has a pretty decent body, the cab being in excellent structural condition

Hi have you any more detail on the pickup? What does it need? What year is it? Any more photos? Thanks

The pick-up is an '86. I don't have the book for it but have details of previous owner and I can contact/deal with him if required. When I got it the engine/box and fuel tank had been removed but it appeared otherwise intact, I've since taken a few cab items from it, but anything I removed I can replace from the camper, in fact all necessary bits inc engine and box could be obtained from the camper. It was originally a UK vehicle, but has been re-registered here.
The load bed is pretty beat-up, the dropsides are far from perfect but seem rust free. The main supports under the load beds need to be replaced, otherwise structurally it looks good, sills, cab floor, windscreen surround etc all look, cab seats, rear wishbones, anything I've looked at seems OK although I haven't examined it very thoroughly as I was intent on using it as a doner vehicle.

Of the two, its by far the easier one to bring back to life in terms of bodywork anyway :)

I've had a few enquires via PM here and on other fora regarding prices for the whole vehicles and for various parts.
I really don't know the values as its very subjective considering the condition of them, obviously they're only worth whatever anyone is willing to pay.
I really need them gone, I really don't want to just strip them and weigh in the remainder, I'd rather see someone succeed where I failed and get some use from these so... I'll very happily consider any offers made for the whole or the parts :)

I'll likely start stripping at the weekend if there's no interest in the complete vehicles.....

More Pick-up pics

More Pick-up pics

Tried to take pics of all the rusty and good bits on the pick-up, my access is a little restricted at the moment and I need to clear the load bed to show it properly, but these should help...2015-04-13 11.56.08.jpg2015-04-13 11.53.59.jpg2015-04-13 11.53.37.jpg2015-04-13 11.53.22.jpg2015-04-13 11.53.16.jpg2015-04-13 11.53.04.jpg2015-04-13 11.52.55.jpg2015-04-13 11.52.49.jpg2015-04-13 11.52.33-2.jpg2015-04-13 11.52.33-1.jpg2015-04-13 11.52.27.jpg2015-04-13 11.52.15.jpg2015-04-13 11.52.07.jpg2015-04-13 11.51.51.jpg

Pick-up and most other parts are now either gone or provisionally sold.

If I've any other bits left I'll post them separately at a later date.

Thanks for all the queries :)
