I had the same problem with the empi's on Zippy, Kongomush's bug.
I got spacers in halfords, 5/6mm I think, they have slots rather than holes to fit a wide range of stud patterns.

You might need to have the centre of the spacers machined to suit the hub, this has probably been mentioned already but I couldn't be arsed reading the whole thread :)

oh, one other thing you need to consider is the shape of the bolt heads, they can be either tapered, ball shaped or flat. You need to make sure you get the right type of bolt. You'll find the taper and ball shape bolts in your local scrapyard but not the flat ones. Modern VW/Audi use the ball shaped ones...

Right, I finally got the wheels to fit. I took a visit to my local scrapyard and got 16 bolts for the astronomical sum of €15!!!!! :D Ordered the 6mm spacers from heritage but got sick of waiting on them to arrive so bought 3mm from halfords hoping it'd be enough (and it was........ barely) and machined them slightly to fit. I just need dropped spindles now whenever my wallet allows it.
