Not sure if I'm wise doing this as love this motor to bits, but common sense is prevailing at the mo to downsize to one main car between me and the mrs instead of the two Golfs
so gonna be on the look out for a GT TDi. This isn't your average MK3 Gti so I'm still not sure about letting go
Paintwork is absolutly gleaming and not a scuff near the bumpers. Has the odd wee minor stone chip as would be expected but I always get complimented on it's appearance!
I've had this as my daily for a year and a half and it's a superb driving car. Full and extensive service history from new, VW and then VW specialist before I bought it, so virtually every part ever used has been genuine VW! I have kept this up since I bought (at great cost!!) and rarly used anything but genuine VW bits to leave this driving perfectly. Has given me up to 50mpg on a run and regularly gives 40mpg+ on motorway.
2Li 8V with 112K on the clock MOT'd until end November. A lot of MK3s have stalling issues, I fittted a genuine crank sensor a few months ago, also replaced the ECU and Fuel pump relay as precaution. Brand new genuine Air Flow Meter last year too. Had 4 new tyres 8K ago (2pirelli 2accelere) All electrics work spot on aside from the heated seats which i never got round to looking at!!
Anyone not familiar with spec, full cc leather seats gear stick, door cards etc, electric windows tilt slide sunroof, silver dials with red needles
It's lowered 40mm on Eibach springs and has a subtle back box that gives a really nice note without being boy racery. Also has 6disc multi changer
Full leather interior is very good, wee bit of usual wear on bolster and gear lever.
The reg isn't original from the car so in two minds whether keep on it or put onto whatever motor I buy, obviously this will make no difference if car goes south
Any questions just ask or PM folks, as I've maybe forgotten something.
