I just got this in and it is rust free. The PO took it to Bare Metal and then etch primed it. Sun Roof works but is missing the crank. It comes with 4 doors also rust free. I t has all 4 wings in rust free shape as well. The Bonnet is there and i have a rear engine cover too. This is just what you need to replace that rusty Body on your Bug. Most projects get stalled because of the cost of welding in new panels and the owners just get overwhelmed with the amount of work ahead. This option lets you pull the wings and do some light body work and paint the Bug your favorite color. Then just bolt it to your restored pan and off you go. I might even be able to get it into the next container, if not when I get home in September I'll be sending another container then. It will be the perfect winter project. plenty of pictures here and if you want more please ask. Price is "all in" shipped to Dublin. I just bolted the wings on with 1 bolt each to show what a solid Body this is. I can also paint the Body here for an additional fee.

Is it much work to convert the shell to rhd or would it be easier to convert the chassis to lhd

I think its just the dash that needs to be changed on the body, maybe the mounting for the steering coloumn. open to contradction.

I have a deluxe RHD dash here complete with grilles and glovebox door I could sell to the buyer if they wanted to convert...

Anyone considering a full restoration would be mad to pass this up. Dump your old body and replace with this. :)

Ok everyone I just found out that I can fit this into the container. It's 1500 Euro n ow but once it hit's the docks it's worth more since there's no waiting and it's there. Grab the bargain now.

Jesus lads, thats great.

If only I had done that to mine, nice to have the org body because of family history.
Although I could have saved my self at least a thousand euro on parts, thats before paint touches the body.

If you need it, snap it up.

Sorry Britt, another rant.

Like I said if you want a very nice Car like VW Beetle1500 has you'd be far ahead with this shell. Never welded OG German steel, doors will fit perfect, your Panel Beater will become your best friend if you bring him this. He may even have time to take a lunch with this since there's no fuss. Get it now because I may be changing how I ship and will only be sending buses over in the future.

Britt I'm still on a rant. You can ask a mod to delete my comments.

Its actually worth buying and storing until you need it. If I had the money it'd be in the bag.
