For Sale 1968 Beetle 1776cc, Twin carbs, Roof chop, fiberglass flip front, 6 point roll cage. Car was built for straightlining. Unfortunately I don't Know the engine specs.
Too much specs to list.
The car is driving and running well.
Car is built road legal, and is SORN'ed in my name.
Long story short, I bought the car with the intention of getting it back on the road, but I took ill and as a result I am now partially disabled and cannot work on the car. The car lay in a shed for 10 years before I bought it, 2 years ago. It is solid but scabby. The ultimate rat look sleeper.
Bad bits, the VX Astra steering rack needs boots. The rear floor behind the drivers seat is holed, but I have a new panel for it. RH ind isn't working. The single skin vinyl roof would need replaced and of course a respray if wanted.
Car is in Omagh, Co Tyrone up North.
£1800.

christ those carbs need tuning lol, spend a few quid on it, tune it and stick it on the rollers, sounds strong and lifty enough. then you can give people an idea on the engine.
whats a "wan"

"wan"

In a polite English accent "one"

You Know your the man for these carbs. I don't even know what make they are.
The car has been laid up for about 15 years.
God it can go! Very light in the front though.
I don't want to spend anymore on it, I've another car on it's way so need garage space. Sad story but had a medical scare 2 years ago and I'm literally get'n back on me one good foot. It's difficult for me to clamber (or for Ben "climb") into the car. Also with limited mobility this yoke (again for Ben "car") is too much for me to handle. I need it moved. It is built on a Mexican block and thats as much as I know about the engine ,except as seen from the video, it can shift.
Any sensible offers ? There's too much to list about this car. It was built proper.
She's a good wan!

To be honest Britt, I have a replacement car get'n restored up in the NW and can't really afford to spend on this car, and also it leaves the buyer under no illusion of what an honest car they're get'n.

To pick up on Britt and Ben's comments. Instead of spending a few hundred to make a sale, I'm prepared to drop a few hundred to make a sale. The car is a good honest car that is driving. I'll listen to reasonable offers.
