Here is my beautiful bare metal, nut and bolt restored 1962 split screen. Totally original down to her original 1200cc engine and crossply tyres.
"suzie" is her name and she is originally an ambulance and a left hooker. 12 months mot and 12 months tax (free).
Restoration only just completed last year. Bought as a business idea only a few months ago and decked out inside as a wedding vehicle. Brand new oak interior, Cooler, spit charge leisure battery, i-pod dock/sound system.

Just throwing her up to see what happens and if i get any offers i cant refuse, otherwise she will earn her way!!!!

Let me explain a little more about my predicament.

Here goes .... again ...... i bought 2 vans, this one and a `76 westy. The westy is less than half the cost of this and 100 times the fun. "suzie" is a wedding camper and although only about for a month or so, and without being to any wedding fayres, we already have had 6 bookings for her ...... over the year ofcourse!
Although business looks good for her i could have 3 westy`s instead which is way more enjoyable!!

Maybe i am just getting itchy feet already. just thought if i got an offer i couldnt refuse, that would make my mind up ........ and if i was laughed at, or indeed insulted (lol) then that too would make me knuckle down and make her earn!

Does anyone understand that rant???????

You still want a price don`t you ..........

The interior was designed, produced and fitted, as was all the electrics, as was the new canvas, as was as was as was...... everything!! By a mate by the name of Rodney Dunlop, based in Enniskillen.
Extremely competitive and flexible, he really wants vw refurbs to be his new venture and has true passion for it too.

He has finished all his panels and welding. Just needs 2 doors and slider needs a little work, then he is ready for paint. He is some boy, told me it would take him 2 years initially....... Lol

I put her in piston heads for £35k but i know that is too much. In the past 4 months I have 28k in her. Love to make a touch but don't expect to and not too fussed on making a loss ........ Not many totally originals out there!

Don't know what to do!!

say both at OXO 2012 top class vans ,could not find fault with them,The lads that i talked to do the weddings as a sideline there full time jobs are Firemen.If i had the money i would buy the splitty.

Unforunately i didnt realise how much of my time it would take to do the weddings, so thats why i am looking to offload "suzie". In saying that, if i cant, then i will have to knuckle down and do it as she is proving to be very popular already!

they were automatically declined by system cos i mistakenly set reserve same as classified price.
Had e-mailed him to tell him he was close but no reply. but hey, we will see what happens!

Same guy, offered a max of 23k but have a 24k reserve on her, E-mailed him to tell him that but got no reply, too much for him (and most i am sure) at the minute ....lol
