Anyone out there have a restored 1302 / early 03 chassis that they'd like to part with? Bit of a long shot, but ya don't know unless ya ask.

Cheers peeps.

I saw this on Facebook from David White. You'd want deep pockets though...and like a move to Subaru...

Limited Production High-End AWD VW Chassis.
Only 10 will be built!
2 possibly 3 are accounted for. We’ll only build them if we find customers for all 10.
Construction will take an estimated 10 weeks after the final chassis is accounted for. Some CAD work is being started now.

Yeah, I'd seen that the other day actually. Wouldn't mind the Subaru power at all at all Tis serious cash to throw at something. All very cool but if I can get my lowly 1600 1303 back on the road one way or another I'll be happy enough.

there was a 1303 body shell on Donedeal for €200 about a month ago; body didn't look too bad from pics; he was selling another shell n some other stuff cheap enough; I spose it depends how bad your current pan is; front end/suspension carrying area rot? etc - a lotta folk over the years have hacked off the front 70% of the tunnel/pan to IRS a beam beetle n might have the parts you want lying about....

There is a frame head but it could be as bad as your own.

there's the bones of the front of a 1303 here. I'll see how bad the frame head is but i wouldn't be too hopeful :(

Ah the more I think about this, I'm probably going to replace the framehead etc on my own one .Least I know exactly what I have then, the chances of getting a mint chassis are fuck all realistically .

Just have to accept it'll be up on blocks for a year or so. Or more.
