  hi,Allison.ya,i drive a 1997 Mexican beetle.the insurance will cost me about €650,fully comprehensive,with Quinn Direct insurance,but they wont insure cars older than 20 years unfortunately.if you join the Eircooled club,they have great deals on insurance for older beetles-like from €190 i think,with a limit on the milage you can do,but you could get lucky and break your speedo cable?! anyway,hope ye have a great time in ireland+best of luck gettin the beetle on the road.Colm
