I have my 1964 Sea Blue Beetle for sale

The car is solid and a real original peach.

The car is originally from Sweden and the clock reads 79,000km which I think could well be true as the rest of the car shows the same age / mileage related wear.
The interior is silver beige and in ok shape. The seats are a bit worn but highly original and really clean so they never bothered me.
There are nice rubber mats back and front and the headlining is mint.
The body of the car is in excellent condition and seems all very original. The paint varies slightly in shade and the front right quarter is flaky but very solid.
There is some rub through on the paint and this to me adds character and real patina – but this wouldn’t be rat look.

The gutters on the car are excellent – 100% +++
All of the usual bad bits are very good with no welding required at all.
The doors are 100% and close superbly
The A posts are in great shape as are the heater channels
The head lining is mint, as is the dash etc.
Heating works very well
All lights and wipers work as they should
Good gear shift, good clutch

The car drives straight, stops straight and pulls as well as any 1200 would. The engine bay is very fresh, new exhaust fitted 2 month ago (the more expensive type)

There is an Erberspacher heater under the bonnet, the fan on this works but the plug has been taken out – I see no reason why it won’t fire up.
There is also a plug socket in the engine bay that you attach a lead to and plug the other end into your house plug socket to warm the oil prior to starting in the depths of the Swedish winter – the cable for this is present and looks to be original but has no VW stamp (not sure if they ever did tho’)

There are 4 brand new Kingstar 165 tires on the car with brand new white walls all of which have covered less than 70 miles.

There is some writting under the bonnet on the top of the bulk head – I think this is original / factory but could be wrong.

Brand new roof rack included

Comes with A frame so you can get it home easily !!!!!!

Smashing little honest car – if anyone needs any further information ask away here or contact me on 087 242 0917

Price - € 4,300-00
Location - Gorey

.
Can't be a 1200 twin port. :D

What carb and distributor do you have on there? Alternator too... everything points to a 1600. :D

8534064 is the only number i can see on it. On VW resource it tells me thats '64 but as to the size im not sure anymore.
Never been an engine man - if it works (which it does well) then i dont question it.
Maybe someone could educate me !
