nvd ship. but you could also get a cheapo ryanair flight over and drive it back, 79 blips on the ferry for that one.

a friend of mine contacted a vw club in the uk, and after searching thru the forums, found a member there who traveled to view a car on his behalf, giving him an independent assessment of it, thus saving him the trip over. turns out the car was a dud aswell...

Anything that cheap in the UK would have a lot of rot underneath I'm guessing. I wouldn't chance driving anything over that's going cheap because it would rapidly become an expensive trip.

It's like any old car, it needs some work but it's all there and you just can't beat the feel of a 1960's Beetle. I fired it up the other day and took it off for a long spin. I really enjoyed it and I think it has great potential. The engine is perfect and fires up straight away so has obviously been cared for over the years. 60's Bugs are getting rarer and if you are genuinely thinking of a Beetle then this could be the one for you.
Give him a shout and go look at it. It's a Beetle that can be restored to stock or you could go all out and build a tasty Resto Cal or Cal Look Beetle.

if i went to look at it i'd only take it home? if its still there in a couple of months (highly unlikely) i'll be havin it. i'm not full time in work but there's a full time post comin up shortly so fingies crossed i'll be able to bribe someone into givin it to me. then come hell or high water i'll be buyin a beetle of some description, that type would be top of the list.
