Had a fantastic day. It ended up being just myself and Padraic (podsyb). Met in Kilkenny around 10 this morning and headed towards Waterford. The weather started clearing up within the first half an hour which gave way to the nicest day of the year so far. You could really smell the summer (if that makes sense). Anyway, off to Waterford we went without incident. Actually thats a lie. I was making hand gestures to him where to go at one stage and he missed a huge pot hole. Smacked his adjuster off the road pretty hard!
Cruised out to tramore to find a stunning day and an open chipper, then up towards the cliff top to admire the view and more importantly create some photo opportunities. One mad hure was actually swimming in the cove! From there we crossed over to Dunmore east for a few more snaps around the harbour while getting alot of interest from passers by. Slight hiccup with Padraic's car here so out came the tool box and we were on our way again soon. Up to another car park on a cliff more more snaps and shite talkin before we headed for home. When we got to the quays in Waterford I caught a glimpse of something yellow in my mirror followed by a familiar sound. A stunning beach buggy roared into view a few cars back. Other road users scattered and let him catch us. He then pulled ahead of us and I signalled to him if he wanted to cruise for a bit. He nodded and then took off up a hill. Soon after, I lost first gear briefly at a junction and couldn't find him again. I've seen the buggy in Waterford before but don't know the driver. On here maybe?
Anyway, back to Kilkenny then and it was time for the coffee. Loads more interest as we cruised through high st.
All in all, including the drive from Limerick and back I racked up over 270 miles this weekend in the new bug and apart from the stuck door and 1 blown fuse she never missed a beat. I'm really looking forward to the summer
I left my usb lead in Kilkenny so I'll buy another tomorrow and upload pics then. I think Padraic might have some.
