Went to start my beetle over the weekend and all going well until I went to lower the passenger window and thump.
took off the card panel and found the whole wiper mechanism has suffered a fatal dose of tin worm.
VW heritage does not have the 65 Mechanisms

By any chance would there be one out there please?

Cheers

your luck is in, the door is a passenger side one. winder mech works perfectly, small bit stiff but would be fine with a bit of lube

quarterlight opens and closes smoothly and all the chrome bits are good, inside and out.

has to be worth €60 for the lot? It's in Co. Laois BTW :)

yeah I can meet you at Midway, where the Cork road meets the M7 motorway. I'll PM you my number. When were you thinking of making the trip?

Trev I was thinking Sunday morning if that suits? any idea if the winder mechanics are in good shape to remove and replace? that is the bits the window runs up and down on?

peeled back the doorcard to reveal a surprisingly solid winder mechanism, even the channel the glass sits in appears to have paint still on it!!
