that's where I got my last one in 2007, it gave up on me this year. Not bad for the price. In fairness, the motor is fine just the bearings are fecked.

the problem with LIDL is that once the "offers" have passed you have to wait another year for them to turn up again and I know that one of their power tool suppliers, Wolf tools, have gone out of business so it might be a while before we see another DA sander in their shops.

hi trev, best option for both is go to b&q, they'l be ok on price but as ive tested countless times in the past, if you keep the receipt, and possibly the box, if it dies within a year, they dont even look at it, they just hand you a new one and give you a new receipt!! ive seen myself even of the thing was working perfectly going in and getting it swapped before the year is up! ive got a new black and decker power file there couple months ago...............jesus.............handiest tool ever!

B&Q aren't quite as cheap on this side of the border, some price comparisons are ridiculous.

..but if it's perpetual it might be worth the extra little bit. :D
