just wondering what size tyres are most popular on beetle and bay window buses,
i have a friend in the tyre business and was hoping to be able to get him some business through the vw people
if i know the popular tyres i casn get some prices and see if he can get a good price on them

in my own personal experience:

'70s bug with stock rims: 165 R15
bug with wider rims: 195/65 R15

bus stock tyre: 185R14 C rated
taller bus tyre for a small bit of extra speed/fuel economy: 195 R14 C rated

Hey Darragh, get a price on a pair of 145 r15 for me bug if ya can, have a new firestone on the spare, would be nice to match, thanks

They're out of production AFAIK, the only place you'll get them is somewhere that has them now. Nankangs are available new in that size.

Just passed you on the way into Mahon Point, car looks great - nice and low. ;)

Any updates on tyres Darragh , really need 2 145 R15 for the front of the bug, eiretyres told me they can't help!!!
