We have been invited again to the Tramore Surf and Sea festival this year which will be held on Sunday 23rd September.
A whole section of the promenade will be closed off for aircooled VW's.
The festival which began in 2008 has grown each year and we have been lucky to be asked along again. This is one of my favourite VW events of the year as there is just something about seeing a load of VW's parked up along the beach front. In previous years I've compared this to our own "Brighton Breeze"
Apart from ourselves and the surf competions, there is loads going on like bmx demos, dog show, battle of the bands comp. kite surfing demo and MORE.
It would be great if we made this year the biggest one yet!

And just a few pics of previous years............

This is only a couple of Sundays away. The organisers have e-mailed me looking for possible numbers so they can allocate space.
Who's in?

As per Mikey's other thread a few of us will be meeting up in Kilkenny that morning and cruise down to Tramore together.
Leaving Woodies/Halfords carpark on the Kilkenny ring road that morning @ 10:00

I'll have the Eircooled banner and gazebo with me. Hopefully Mikey will have some hoodies/tshirts with him to sell.

You won't be able to camp at the seafront because it's a busy public beach and like all seaside resorts "overnight staying is prohibited". On the Sunday we'll have part of the prom sectioned off to us with barriers.
There are a few campsites less than a half a mile away so these could be an option to you. Alternatively, there's a few campsites in Kilkenny for the saturday night and you could meet us Sunday morning for the spin down?
