I've had this 12 years now and done f**k all with it. Can't see myself getting around to it any time soon so I think it's time to shift it on to someone who'll put it together I think.

  • the engine is a 2.0 Turbo "EJ20" engine from an Irish STI/WRX Impreza, 90k miles done from memory. Came from a flood damaged car at the time, engine perfect, I heard it run before it was removed, it drove to the garage that pulled it for me. Been laid up indoors since then. Intercooler included plus whatever else I can find for it. Downpipe from the turbo etc...
  • the gearbox is a 915 5-speed from a 911, complete with output flanges with stock 930 pattern and drilled for bus/944 CVs too. 911 gear lever and shift rod to go with it
  • adapter kit is from DS Tuning in Germany and custom made for the Subaru engine to Porsche box
  • also included are a 911 clutch kit, new starter ring gear (odd item from memory, goes on the clutch, not the flywheel), full unmodified wiring loom from the donor car including dash cluster, key, barrel etc, ready to have the unnecessary stuff stripped out. High-torque semi-auto T2 starter motor for it too.
  • also have the wide 944 Turbo aluminium IRS A-arms and rear disk brakes with matching drive shafts.

as for money, that lot above probably cost me upwards of 4 grand way back when but if you're seriously interested we can hammer out a discount.

form an orderly queue please :ROFLMAO:

This would be a lovely set up in a bus! even nicer in a bug too

A lot of kit there Trev that would be costly to buy individually.

220BHP I think Mikey without doing a thing to it. "Out of the box" as it were.

I think what's there should be enough to get a van or beetle up and running with the addition of a radiator, fuel pump and some other incidentals. Oh, and a bit of graft too :ROFLMAO:

thanks for the interest gents, here, by PM and by phone.

just to put it out there, I'm going to take a huge hit on this and ask €2500 for the lot which is cheap horsepower if you're up for the hassle of stripping the loom (or get RJES in the UK to do it for a couple of hundred), mounting the engine and gearbox and making up a rad/cooling setup and the fuel delivery setup.

This would be great in an already-watercooled T3, half of the hassle is already taken care of for you.

I'm not going to split the lot yet but in case I do, I have some interest by PM and phone already in the gearbox plus bits and Padraig above for the suspension/brake stuff.

I'd take a stock beetle IRS gearbox plus shafts and a stock 1600 engine as part-ex BTW cos I'll need to replace them with something :ROFLMAO:

I'll just leave these here :ROFLMAO: :

in a T3, kept the power steering pump and is using aircon and an automatic! Talk about sapping all the power!

another T3, no power steering, no aircon, that's better ;)

jaysus, 12 years ago!!

I just copped the engine has far less miles on it than I thought, 26000 miles, it was less than 4 years old when I got it.

thanks Ed :)

that's it, end of a pipe dream for me :(

everything is "sale agreed" bar the 944 turbo arms, spring plates, drive shafts inc. CV joints, calipers (not the fancy brembo ones :( ), 10x aluminium nuts

Padraig, you interested?
