Not exactly a VW topic but looking for an engine for a 00 land rover discovery TD5 if anyone knows of one

Will do, might be wrong on this but, isn't the TD5 engine a BMW engine?

Can't remember if BMW bought Land Rover in 1999 or 2000.

just looked that up and it said that the engine was designed by landrover and BMW finished off the production of it when they bought the company, don't think BMW used this engine themselves
