I'll regret this, but having to sell 'Dave' to fund the Bay rebuild now i have a roof for it.

RHD Sea Blue 66 deluxe with all the OG parts and full documented history.

Solid 6V 1300 engine overhauled by Tommy Murray (if you know him? you'll know he knows his stuff! :) ) and given a clean bill of health (85K on the clock) perfect gearshift as well, he also had her up on the ramp and I was told it was rock solid underneath. New regulator, reconditioned starter (starts first time, everytime) and generator reconditioned, NOS exhaust, NOS headlamp bowls not fitted, new stainless tail pipes. This is the only car ive had that has never let me down yet :) all the heaters are working pefectly, OG period spotlights with 55W H4 halogen bulbs as are the headlights 60/55W H4 halogens so none of your dim night driving, 1 year old Sprintstar Replica wheels (some tarnish but in good condition) from CIP in Canada, new tyres front and rear, i will also include the original steels in the sale, CB performance dropped spindles but will include the originals stub axles so it can be put back to stock, new trackrod ends, new rear shocks, working period blaupunkt VW 12V radio deluxe face plate with inverter to run on 6V, brand new stainless aerial (not fitted), new 6V wing fitted washer bottle kit so no messing about with pumping up the spare wheel. The interior is in great condition i have also fitted a bamboo style parcel shelf, carpets are Bernard Newbury and one year old, included in the sale are several parts which i didnt get time to fit... new quarter light and door rubbers, 6V aoogah horn, rear gravel guards, inner door bottoms and anything else i can find xD.

I bought the car in Liverpool and drove him a couple of hundred miles home with not even a hiccup, this car has been garaged all its life except for the last 6 months. It had gone through a body of restoration 6 years ago, the body isnt perfect, there are a few minor spots of rust which would be easily touched up and the door bottoms need seeing to, new genuine door seals and quarter light seals are supplied in the sale, headling is near perfect as is the interior. I've spent over £1500 on bits and pieces and im only asking what i payed for the car not the extras, so im looking a solid £4K sterling. There is no MOT but it will be sold with one year on it as i just have get off my arse and book it in  .

I'm reluctant to sell 'Dave' but the bus resto is my priority and i need the cash, its hard to camp in a bug and i hate tents :p

Price dropped to £3000 UKP, (minus the sprints) for a quick sale.

Grab yourself a nice original early bug, mechanically solid with minimal cosmetic work needed to make it perfect this side of the water?
