Sorry Crazylegs but thats a bloody rip off, were all familiar with Toms panelvan, and that van was being sold for 12k only a few months ago, you've some cheek to put it up here looking for 15k and claiming its a bargain, I dont care how much you think its worth, thats plain out of order. It was also sold by Tom for alot less than your charging

Richie, would you not agree that the van is worth 15k

i assume it was sold v cheap last time by Tom for a quick sale.

Crazy is a business not a charity dude, he has to make money!!!

Lets not start a row over this, nothing worse than taking a virtual kicking.....................................ive been there!!!

this isn't my van and I have no vested interest in it selling or not selling but to me, there's a pretty simple rule of thumb that probably prevails here:

"If you don't want it, don't buy it."

nobody will be held at gunpoint to buy this van...

I saw and inspected this bus after it was bought the last time .
I also gave it a through inspection and drove it before I bought it this time .
The price reflects the condition of the bus as it is NOW and also the market value of it .
For you to assume that there have been no improvements made to it in the meantime is very much wide of the mark.
As the add says 44 year old buses in this condition do not come on the market every day the van in the condition it in Today is easily worth that .
And much less than alot of ones for sale on the Gobal market.
What has gone on before with any vehicle other than its mechanical history is irelivant.

its very simple, its a fourm and all opinions welcome

and if he was selling it for a couple of quid anyone of us would inform the chap that he should really ask alot more for it. if its over/under priced let it be anyone serious about buying one will investigate and see for themselves if it is or not.

i have been in this van very nice!

Im sorry but I dont know why anyone is trying to shoot John down in flames here. Hes running a business and he's in it to make a profit. Tom was trying to sell that van quickly so let it go for far less than it was worth at the time. Add to that the fact that you can be guuaranteed John did go over it with a fine tooth comb, do any necessary work on it and youre buying it off a professional trader, I think €15k for that van is a bargain. You don't go into a car dealership and expect to buy a new car for the price they paid for it! If you have an issue with the price now, you should have bought the bloody thing off Tom when he was selling it. Otherwise St. Vincent de Paul might have a good one going cheap at the moment. FFS!
