For all cars manufactured after 96'. Diagnostics code reader. connects to the cars computer. Gives you fault codes (existing and pending) and then you look it up in the book or CD that comes with it to see whats wrong! It also lets you reset the any lights that have come on on the dash. It also gives you a status of your emissions. Probably does loads more things i didnt know about, only ever used it once. Alot cheaper than bringing it to a garage with an engine light on, only for them to charge you €200 to reset a fault that was a dirty sensor or something.
If anyone is interested, im looking for about €95 for it. Open to offers!

I might be able to try it on a 307 in the next day or so. As far as i can gather off the net, if your car has a 16 pin connector and is newer than '96 then it should work. But ye never know, those french always have to do things differently. ;-)

havent forgotten about this. Hope to try it on a 307 on monday. if that doesnt happen then it will have to be a "try before you buy" scenario.

Just below the right hand side of the steering wheel there is a pocket, above the pocket is a plastic flat head screw. Turn the screw a quarter turn and pull the pocket, the panel should come off in your hand. Behind the panel is the DLC socket. :)

Is it a 90bhp Hdi Or a 110bhp Hdi ?

What year is it ?

its an '03 i think, dont know what HP. I saw that panel and screw, but it didnt seem to come away too easy so i didnt want to go pulling at it too hard, since it wasnt my car. I'll try it again after work today.

Tried it this evening. And the peugeot wont communicate with it. Very strange. I even left it connected for 5mins, it just says "Read". It only takes 2 seconds on my focus and yaris.
