Hi,

I'm looking for new plates for my car now that its got an Irish reg - does anyone in the club supply plates or can anyone recommend a good supplier? The main requirement is that the rear plate is at least 295 mm X 210mm to cover existing holes on the panel. Pressed aluminium or white on black raised characters are fine with me - I want to avoid the Euro style plate if possible.

Thanks in advance

Monplate in Carrigtwohill Co. Cork make the old style pressed plates from the 60's and early 70's. Not the modern narrow characters on black plates either. Think they're about 40euro a set. They look good too.

Thanks for all the replies - there may be an issue with my setup because my engine lid has six drillings which are spaced in such a way that I need a bigger square plate than might be standard. I think that the square aluminium plates are 275 X 200mm and that'd be too narrow to cover my spare drillings. I'll have a chat with John Reynolds first of all and see what he can do for me - I'll give the others a go if he can't sort me out.

Thanks again
