[Wanted: Parts] NON VW - Looking for a Silver Nokia 6310i

Evening..

Am sick to death of my so called smart phone... the battery life is just rank and am tired of having to charge it as soon as i get into work after a 1.25 hour commute or the blasted thing will die after lunch..

Does anyone have a 6310i in working condition, lying in a drawer, that they would be willing to sell? It was the best phone nokia ever made and my own one cant see the network any more.. (dropped once too often )

Is it just the signal your old done doesn't pic up?

i can do a manual scan and see the networks (o2 /voda and even orange from where i am) but if i try and force it to pickup voda (the home network) it just fails and if i leave it on auto, it never picks up any net..

tried it with a voda and an o2 sim.. reckon she's rubber ducked..

not sure if they can be reflashed without a special cable... even tho it was lying in a drawer for nearly 6 months.. the battery still had 50% charge.. If nokia kept making phones as good as the 6310i they wouldn't be in the appalling mess that they are now.. but then what would i know, i'm a pretengineer not a business head..

a guy in meath has three for 150 but i only need one! might see if he'll part with one!

Yep.. Alreadt slashing the price of the lumia to try and become relevant again.. Beautiful hardware spoiled by a shite os.. N9 had such potential but strangled by a former microsoft man.. Funny that

I know... it's mad. I'd love a Lumia but I sure as hell ain't using that crappy OS. I was trying it out a few months ago and it crashed within 20mins.

wp8 is supposed to be excellent... just like windows phone 7.5 was supposed to be excellent.. just like windows phone 7 was supposed ti be excellent... there may be a theme developing here!

They've lost their way big time. N8 would have made a great android. Think going with ms ensured they're proper shagged now - pity, because the Lumia is a really nice handset.
Faher-in-law retired this 2 years ago! Was still working too - but the battery life had finally given up.

there is a freind of mine that has 2 of them spare i will check with him as he asked me a while ago was i interested in one and they were re-furbished he got 5 of them for his taxi business but sold off one of the cabs thus why he has 2 spare will pm you tomorrow when i talk to him if your still interested

Reading this reminded me I had one, back in the day.....so took a look in 'the drawer' and its still there.
Gold 6310i with the extended life battery.
Can rem using it as a hammer in Sierra Leone.........and it still worked after.
