I'm on the hunt for some mk1 Jetta headlamps and tail lamps. And a right front wing.

actually, if you had a dead or dying mk1 Jetta or even a mk1 Golf ready to be scrapped, I'd give it a new home for a while. There are a few bits I could pillage from another one for mine ;)

Thanks Mark. Ken is already in the case for me. Waiting to hear back from him.

Nothing is impossible to get. Sometimes you just have to widen your search. ;)

thanks Emy. The carpets might come in useful, the carpets in mine are fooked!!! My door cards are good though and I even have a matching backup set left over from when I had the Golf.

the trim that covers the space between the car and the window

I'm not sure what this is though? Can you elaborate?

ah! gotcha :)

TBH, the door cards and door toppers wouldn't be any use to me. I'd say you'd find a taker on autostadt.ie though.

If you could put the carpet aside for me I'd take it. I have no idea how I'd get it down here from you. Is it flexible enough to be folded and put in a parcel motel?

PM me what you need for it, cheers :)

Ive the remains of a cut up south African 'citi' golf down the lock up's yard- not much left of it, folk have taken a few cuts already (most of the back 'third is gone) but theres decent enough pan parts, sill sections n inner wing - it's all goin for scrap otherwise - your welcome to it if you want it; the lot should fit in a trailor....

that's very decent Kevin. The left sill cut might get me out of a hole. I'll see if I can arrange some time to get down to you. I'll let you know in advance :)

No probs trev - the sills were gone at the front below the A pillar, from memory on this citi golf but theres 'good' rust free lengths of sills up to that - theres thin paint, very little wax n poor spot welds from the factory on these SA citi golfs so they are gr8 for cuts...

Im cutting the front strut cups, inner wing tops n heater box out of the remains on Saturday for other mk1 die-hard's - the floor up to the seat x member is 'in one piece; im goin to the durrow show on sunday, and I could bring on whatever cuts you want/specified, as i'll be cutting Saturday anyways....

it just happens I have Sunday afternoon free, I didn't realise Durrow was on. If you could chop out the full left sill, including an inch or two of floor (my sill is rotten on the outside and the inside :( I'd be much obliged. Mine is also rotten at the bottom of the A-pillar but maybe yours is better?

the left sill, gone through to the carpet in spots!!

do you still want that type25 engine hatch and frame Kevin? Since my Subaru Project is now no longer a going concern I won't be using it.

If you want it I'd happily swap it for your mk1 cuts...
