this is always pretty big and a nice day out if the weather cooperates. It's in a field that the cows are probably currently grazing/shitting on so not really suitable for very low cars. Plus it's attended by fat headed farmers so expect your car to be sat on/used as a scratching post while its there.

It's local enough to me so I think I might tip along in the daily and take a squint around the autojumble for buried treasure!!

if anyone is planning on heading to this tomorrow, even if it's sunny bring a pair of wellies. I reckon with the rain over the last few days it'll be "moist" in the lower parts of the field.

would you not even go as a spectator PJ? I'm hoping to head across after lunch for a quick squint around. In the Passat ;)

I went in the Passat with missus and sprog in tow. Arrived around two, the entrance was pretty sloppy at that stage, they had overflow car parking in the next field but I was able to get a spot in the rammed main field. Took a quick look around the auto-jumble, then a whistlestop tour of the classic car section and was gone by three. It seemed to me that attendance was down on previous years, there were a lot of classic cars heading the opposite direction as I was driving towards Durrow. The showery weather didn't help attendance or conditions in the field. One other thing: would it really kill the organisers/owners of the field to hunt the cows off it in the week running up to the show? You really had to pick your steps to avoid the big sloppy pools of cow shit.

If this show was on hard standing it would take on a whole new appearance. I think while they continue to hold it in a wet shitty auld field it'll always be a wet shitty auld show...

I'd have to agree with you Trev. I was thinking this morning I might go in the daily for a look at this.
We had a big shower of rain here around 12 and the thoughts of walking around a soggy field full of cow shit , it was fairly easy make up my mind.
