anyone looking for a pair of good used beetle doors? Rust free but one has a slight dent beside the lower hinge and one of the quarterlight glass is broken (replacement supplied). Condition refelcted in price:

€200 the pair

pair of brand new calipers for beetle. Late model "2 pin" style, complete with pads.

€100 the pair

set of four "marathon" steel wheels, in used condition, sadly no centrecaps

€150 the set

plus any amount of used spares, what do you need?

hi Trev

what year are the doors?

I might be looking for some for my 65 beetle, will they fit?

do doors fit all models is it just the window sizes that are different?

Any tp engines lying around??

all beetle doors will fit all models at the hinges, the door lock is at different heights on oval doors compared to '70s doors. I know that for sure cos I have a '70s door bodged onto my oval at the moment and the latches conflict.

Anyway, in relation to your case, the windows got bigger in '65 as you know, you might want to check the door latch height though, although I'd imagine it'd be the right height for a '70s door. The interior fittings like handles, winders, quarterlight knobs etc will be different but should transfer over from your old door.

I have the bones of a 1600 TP here at the moment but I might have a 1300 TP coming this week. €100 for the 1600, I'll let you know about the 1300...

it's a bit of a project, the 1600. hence the price tag. missing quite a few parts: flywheel, tinware, alternator (can supply a dynamo with it). I should have a carb and manifold parts for it amongst the pile'o'parts.

not getting the 1300 now so that's off the cards.

I have a 1200 though if that's any use to anyone (even as a boat anchor :ROFLMAO: ) €100 complete, I might even throw in a good used 1200 exhaust with it if you talk nicely to me... ;)

First up with cash gets 'em. My days of holding parts for people I don't know are over.

I don't mean offence to anyone, I'm sure you're genuine and intend to buy it's just I've been left on the long finger on more than one occasion. When it's someone you know you can give them a dig to get their ass in gear ;)

I'm here all weekend, first come first served ;)

I'm away from home at the moment. I'll give you a call later today. If someone has them gone by then fair enough.
